Toa Payoh Hospital moves to Changi and becomes Changi General Hospital
In 1997, to cater to the population in the Eastern part of Singapore, Toa Payoh Hospital closed its doors and moved to their new premises at Changi. The Changi General Hospital was officially opened in 1998.
