First test-tube baby in Asia together with Prof SS Ratnam and IVF team
Prof SS Ratnam started the In-Vitri Fertilisation and Embryo Replacement Programme in 1982 in KKH to help couples who could not conceive naturally. The programme saw success in 1983 when the first test tube baby in Asia was born in Singapore.
