New Polyclinics serve HDB new towns
As Singaporeans started moving into housing estates in the heartlands, MOH consolidated its Outpatient Dispensaries and Maternal and Child Health Clinics into 16 Polyclinics in the 1980s. This was to offer a wider range of services to these Singaporeans who have shifted to the HDB new towns.
