Healthcare in Singapore has come a long way since the 1940s. From a population troubled by many diseases and primitive medical facilities, we have become one of the top ranked healthcare systems in the world.
For this we have many dedicated doctors, nurses and healthcare workers to thank as the foundation of our present system was built on their efforts. As we commemorate 50 years of public healthcare we would like to remember and celebrate our past when resources may have been lacking but medical professionalism, passion and dedication were strong enough to tide us through.
